STUDENTS

We are excited that you will be participating in UCLA Summer Sessions!

Please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information below as you will be responsible for understanding UCLA’s policies and regulations.

STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Students must abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Regents of the University of California, on behalf of its Los Angeles campus, including, but not limited to, rules and regulations of Summer Sessions and the UCLA student code of conduct. You will be expected to meet the highest standards both academically and behaviorally, and will be held fast to a commitment to academic and personal integrity; respect for all members of the community and teaching, research, administration, disciplinary procedures, or other university activities; regard for the basic rules of physical safety; and compliance with directions of university or other public officials. Integrity, excellence, accountability, respect, and service are the founding principles of the True Bruin code. As you enter the UCLA community as a summer Bruin, learn the values of a True Bruin and show your Bruin Pride.

The UCLA Student Conduct Code has been developed to maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus community that engages students to foster their academic success, personal growth, and responsible citizenship.

Behavior subject to consequences as outlined in the UCLA Student Conduct Code includes academic dishonesty, unfair treatment of others, dangers to health and safety, inappropriate use of resources, and use of alcohol and controlled substances. UCLA’s reputation for academic excellence and institutional integrity is among the most valued assets; as such, academic integrity is of paramount importance and UCLA does all within its power to maintain its standards.

During the summer, matriculated UCLA students and visiting students alike are members of our diverse and inclusive True Bruin community, and you are subject to the same code of conduct policies as UCLA students. Please note, however, different conduct procedures apply to Summer Sessions students given the duration of their student status.
