SCIP Intern Application

Eligible UCLA undergraduate students can apply to be a Summer College Immersion Program — SCIP Intern for Summer Session A6.

UCLA Summer Sessions is seeking responsible UCLA undergrads to promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for high school juniors and seniors in the Summer College Immersion Program (SCIP).

SCIP Interns will work 10-12 hours/week in Session A6 (June 22 – July 31, 2026) which pairs well with taking a Summer Course. Previous experience mentoring and/or supervising high school students is preferred but not required.

UCLA Summer Sessions at Bruin Day for First-Years 2026

UCLA Summer Sessions will be at Bruin Day for First-Years on Saturday, April 11! Come visit our booth on Dickson Plaza between 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and play our Bruin Day Passport game to win prizes (while supplies last). We will also be hosting a separate booth promoting our Summer Pathways program, a bridge program designed to give freshmen a head start on degree requirements while ensuring a smooth transition to the Fall Quarter.

BASE Application Opens

The Bruin Ascent Summer Experience (BASE) application opens February 18.

BASE is a six week online scholarship program for current 10th-11th grade California high school students from economically under-resourced communities. Selected students will enroll in one UCLA summer online course free of charge, be paired with a UCLA undergraduate student mentor, and participate in co-curricular workshops to prepare them for their future endeavors in higher education! Summer Scholars Support Application Period

Qualified students attending high schools in California may apply for a need- and merit-based scholarship through UCLA called Summer Scholars Support. The scholarship application will open starting February 18 (after program acceptance) and close on April 1, 2025 at 5pm PST. Please contact our office for additional questions or concerns.
